West Nidaros Church & Crooks Gun Club

It was a rainy Saturday morning on the day Heather and Josh got married. The rain didn’t keep the smiles off their excited faces. We braved the rain and shot outside before a downpour came along. Once the rain dispersed, we headed back out with the whole bridal party before the ceremony. Heather and Josh got married at West Nidaros Church, in Crooks, South Dakota before heading to the Crooks Gun Club for their reception. They did make a pit stop, however, to do a little dirt biking!

Grand Stay Hotel, McKennan Park & Tea All Occasions

I met Ashley and Alex when I photographed their engagement photos back in October. That seems forever ago now. These two had a beautiful wedding that took us from Tea to the green filled McKennan Park and back to Tea. One could not help but smile when around this bridal party. They were full of excitement and had a blast. There were too many silly photos of the boys that I had to narrow it down. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Speer!

It’s always fun photographing family. I took my cousins Alex and Tanna to downtown Sioux Falls for this fun sibling photo shoot. Downtown is one of my favorite places to shoot because of the diverse range of backgrounds. I took these two on a walk and discovered lots of different colors and environments. I’m not one for wanting my clients posed perfectly all the time. Sometimes, it looks better to be candid and fun. When transitioning, I don’t put the camera down, I keep shooting, to get those natural moments. Take a look at Alex and Tanna’s mini session downtown!
